The Darkroom Studios Rental Terms/Conditions

USE OF WORKROOMS

I will treat all equipment with care, follow any posted signs and ask for help when needed.

• A brief equipment orientation is required of all 1st time users
  
• A lab manager is available at all times for equipment technical help
  

I will report any malfunction, damage, leak or other potential problem immediately.
I understand the photographic process and agree that I am responsible for my own work.

• TDS offers fee based seminars for those unfamiliar with the process
• Failure to follow suggested process times/techniques may create non-standard results
  

I understand this is a public darkroom and will respect the space and works of others.

• Ask permission before handling other workers prints, negatives, etc…
• Do not leave work unattended in any <3 minute process or dryer
• Personal radios should be personal and cell phones should not be used in workrooms
  

I am aware of the potential risks involved with handling photographic chemistry and that TDS:

• Has available: tongs, goggles, MSDS and a first aid kit
• Allows all other personal protection devices
• Does not allow customer access to its concentrated chemistry

Last Call

(Last Call reminder is given ~1 hour before close.)

RC Prints must be out of developer at least 30 minutes before close
FB Prints must be out of developer at least 45 minutes before close
Film Must be in developer at least 60 minutes before close
Overtime is available only if pre-approved by management

• If overtime is not approved and Last Call has been heeded, TDS will remain open
• If overtime is not approved and Last Call has been ignored, TDS will close on time
• Approved overtime rate is an additional $7 per hour per person - min. 2 people

All efforts are made to ensure the accuracy of this Website and keep all items in stock; however prices and availability are subject to change. If rental equipment is not available, for maintenance or any other reasons, TDS sole responsibility is to offer suitable replacement equipment and your option to cancel reservations with no penalty.
